Schools and school supplies face daily wear and tear from children, which diminishes their effectiveness. To ensure that children have the best and highest quality tools, we decided to give the elementary school a new, more modern design, thanks to products from TIKKURILA. We applied Magnetic and Liitu paints to the school chalkboards.

Before applying the paint, we cleaned and sanded the surfaces of the boards. The first layer applied was the water-based Magnetic paint in three coats. This special paint can be used on dry, solid indoor surfaces, such as concrete, drywall, or chipboard. Once dry, the surface becomes magnetic, allowing magnets to be attached.

After the Magnetic paint had dried, we applied two layers of Liitu chalkboard paint, making the board writable with chalk again. The Liitu coating is abrasion-resistant, washable, and suitable not only for schoolboards but also for walls and furniture. When writing with chalk, it adheres well to the surface and is easily erasable.

We believe that the renovated school boards will be appreciated not only by hardworking teachers but also by the clever children, who will quickly fill them with magnets and new information.
